We strive to support families and children's increased participation and independence.
With shared goals of supporting positive development, therapy attendance is vital.
Please note our attendance & cancellation policies below to help us provide the best therapy possible.
Early childhood is a vital time to support your child's development. With consistent and continued therapy, your child will continue to develop important skills that will be the foundation for their future learning. Therapy is either scheduled once per week or twice per week depending on the child's unique needs. In order to meet our shared goals of greater learning, participation, and independence, attendance is critical. Your child will benefit from consistent practice of developmental skills, grow in social development, and develop a routine that builds trust in their caregivers and therapist.
To reach our shared goals, we ask families to have consistent attendance. Please block out your scheduled therapy time and schedule around it, avoiding scheduling appointments on that day/time. If there is a valid reason, such as an unavoidable appointment or illness, we ask that you notify your therapist as soon as you become aware of the possible absence and work with your therapist to find a day and time to make up that missed session. This must be done as soon as it is know to you that you will miss your session so your therapist is able to schedule a different child at that time and not miss the opportunity to serve a child.
When there are 3 absences without making up the missed sessions, we will review whether a therapist reassignment will be needed.
As a healthcare practice, we value overall health and wellbeing. Therefore, we cannot provide services in an unhealthy or unsafe environment. If any drugs, such as cigarettes, vaping, marijuana use, or alcohol are being used (or have been used: second-hand smoke) in our vicinity, in addition to strong/foul language or yelling, we will not be able to continue to provide services at that location.
Therapists travel from home to home and to daycare centers. It is important for us to remain as clean as possible and avoid pet fur/dander out of respect for other children who may have allergies. Please keep your pets in another room and remove/vacuum any pet hair from the treatment area.
